    In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Amit Vilasrao Deshmukh of INC won in this constituency beating Shailesh Govindkumar Lahoti of BJP by a margin of 40,167 votes which was 18.97% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Amit Vilasrao Deshmukh of INC was the winner in this seat beating Lahoti Shailesh Govindkumar of BJP by a margin of 49,465 votes which was 24.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Amit Vilasrao Deshmukh of INC won this seat defeating Kayyumkhan Mohmaadkhan Pathan of BSP by a margin of 89,480 votes which was 51.37% of the total votes polled for the seat.
