    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Subash Chandra Panigrahi of BJP won in this constituency beating Romancha Ranjan Biswal of BJD by a margin of 7,106 votes which was 3.97% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Nitesh Gangadeb of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Anita Pradhan of BJD by a margin of 38,739 votes which was 23.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Sanjeeb Kumar Pradhan of BJD won this seat defeating Nitesh Ganga Deb of INC by a margin of 10,705 votes which was 7.69% of the total votes polled for the seat.
