    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Mohan Charan Majhi of BJP won in this constituency beating Madhaba Sardar of BJD by a margin of 1,124 votes which was 0.65% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Abhiram Naik of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Mohan Charan Majhi of BJP by a margin of 8,676 votes which was 5.56% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Subarna Naik of BJD won this seat defeating Mohan Charan Majhi of BJP by a margin of 7,269 votes which was 6.05% of the total votes polled for the seat.
