    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Rajendra Dholakia of BJD won in this constituency beating Ghasi Ram Majhi of INC by a margin of 20,330 votes which was 12.31% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Basanta Kumar Panda of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Rajendra Dholakia of BJD by a margin of 9,610 votes which was 6.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Rajendra Dholakia of BJD won this seat defeating Basanta Kumar Panda of BJP by a margin of 22,620 votes which was 16.55% of the total votes polled for the seat.
