    In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Nrusingha Charan Sahu of BJD won in this constituency beating Bibhuti Bhusan Pradhan of BJP by a margin of 740 votes which was 0.44% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Nrusingha Charan Sahu of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Bibhuti Pradhan of BJP by a margin of 3,052 votes which was 2.02% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dr Nrusingha Sahu of BJD won this seat defeating Bibuti Bhusan Pradhan of BJP by a margin of 5,188 votes which was 4.17% of the total votes polled for the seat.
