    In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Dorjee Tshering Lepcha of SDF won in this constituency beating Tshering Bhutia of SKM by a margin of 2,920 votes which was 28.82% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dorjee Tsh Lepcha of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Sonam Dorjee of SKM by a margin of 1,916 votes which was 22.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, L M Lepcha of SDF won this seat defeating Chhopel Dzongpo Bhutia of SHRP by a margin of 2,400 votes which was 34.49% of the total votes polled for the seat.
