    In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Karma Loday Bhutia of SKM won in this constituency beating Ugen Nedup Bhutia of SDF by a margin of 1,437 votes which was 13.87% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Ugen Nedup Bhutia of SKM was the winner in this seat beating Thenlay Tshering Bhutia of SDF by a margin of 126 votes which was 1.34% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Thenlay Tshering Bhutia of SDF won this seat defeating Ugen Nedup Bhutia of INC by a margin of 2,164 votes which was 28.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
