In 2014, Narendra Kumar Subba of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Birbal Tamling of SKM by a margin of 5,218 votes which was 48.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Chandra Maya Subba of SDF won this seat defeating Laxuman Gurung of INC by a margin of 4,353 votes which was 50.12% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Narendra Kumar Subba of SDF had a vote share of 55.15% in this seat. In 2014, Narendra Kumar Subba of SDF secured a vote share of 72.43% in this constituency.
