In 2014, Pawan Chamling of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Milan Rai of SKM by a margin of 1,084 votes which was 12.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Pawan Chamling of SDF won this seat defeating Khush Bdr Rai of INC by a margin of 4,644 votes which was 66.51% of the total votes polled for the seat.
