    In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Sunita Gajmer of SKM won in this constituency beating Dhan Kumari Kami of SDF by a margin of 93 votes which was 1.04% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Arjun Kumar Ghatani of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Bhanu Pratap Rasaily of SKM by a margin of 779 votes which was 9.65% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Madan Cintury of SDF won this seat defeating Janga Bir Darnal of INC by a margin of 2,298 votes which was 33.73% of the total votes polled for the seat.
