    In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Kunga Nima Lepcha of SKM won in this constituency beating Karma Wangdi Bhutia of SDF by a margin of 1,356 votes which was 11.09% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Kunga Nima Lepcha of SKM was the winner in this seat beating Karma Tempo Namgyal Gyaltsen of SDF by a margin of 736 votes which was 7.22% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Karma Tempo Namgyal Gyaltsen of SDF won this seat defeating Kunga Nima Lepcha of INC by a margin of 2,281 votes which was 28.62% of the total votes polled for the seat.
