    Demographic profile

In the 2009 polls, the number of total electors was 9,169 which included 4,717 male, and 4,452 female.

    Victory margin

    In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Bhim Hang Limboo of SKM won in this constituency beating Dal Bdr. Subba of SDF by a margin of 47 votes which was 0.44% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Chandra Maya Limboo (Subba) of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Kharka Bdr Subba of SKM by a margin of 1,639 votes which was 17.61% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Prem Lall Subba of SDF won this seat defeating Depan Hang Limbu of INC by a margin of 4,225 votes which was 53.59% of the total votes polled for the seat.
