    In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, K Pitchandi of DMK won in this constituency beating K Selvakumar of PMK by a margin of 26787 votes which was 13.2% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Pitchandi K of DMK was the winner in this seat beating Selvamani K of AIADMK by a margin of 34666 votes which was 17.57% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Aranganathan.A.K of AIADMK won this seat defeating Pitchandi.K of DMK by a margin of 4081 votes which was 2.35% of the total votes polled for the seat.
