    In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Sivakumar C of PMK won in this constituency beating Dr Masilamani R of DMK by a margin of 2230 votes which was 1.27% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Masilamani R of DMK was the winner in this seat beating Annadurai K of AIADMK by a margin of 12306 votes which was 7.19% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Nagarajan.P of AIADMK won this seat defeating Prakash.R of PMK by a margin of 20081 votes which was 13.26% of the total votes polled for the seat.
