    In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Marri Janardhan Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy of INC by a margin of 54,354 which was 32.24% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 60.8% in 2018 in this seat.
