    In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sunil Kumar Mondal of TMC won in this seat defeating Paresh Chandra Das of BJP by a margin of 89,311 votes which was 6.21% of the total votes cast for the seat. TMC had a vote share of 44.51% in 2019 in this seat.

    In 2014, Sunil Kumar Mandal of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Iswar Chandra Das of CPM by a margin of 1,14,379 votes which was 8.66% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 43.5% in the seat.

    In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Anup Kumar Saha of CPM won this seat beating Ashoke Biswas of TMC by a margin of 59,419 votes which was 5.28% of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPM had a vote share of 47.31% in the seat.
